The Athens School of Fine Arts inaugurates the exhibition “Graduates 2010-11” of the Department of Visual Arts on Wednesday the 12th of February 2014 at 7:30pm at the exhibitions’ space “Nicos Kessanlis” of the Athens School of Fine Arts, 256, Peiraios Ave, (Rentis).

The yearly exhibition of Graduates of the Department of Visual Arts of the Athens School of Fine Arts comprises of 119 artworks of graduates of this department, of the academic year 2010-11.

The Athens School of Fine Arts has always been an educational and art institution which apart from its literal training role, more generally serves as an active “greenhouse” for cultivating and developing the visual arts in our country. The artworks of the graduates are not just the expression of an inclination, but the decisive struggle for the practice of this inclination, the educational, artistic and theoretical composition and formation of an artistic attitude.

The exhibition presents the artworks, highlights the trends and the artistic expressions and documents the final results of the training in visual arts undergone and of the research in the art field performed by the graduates of the Department of Visual arts of the ASFA during their studies. The exhibition offers a succinct yet comprehensive picture of not only the graduates’ diploma projects but also of the Department’s overall educational results.
