Kika Kyriakakou exhibitions / events
The solo exhibition by Peggy Kliafa entitled “Pharmakon” is hosted at the Kappatos Gallery (12, Athinas str., Monastiraki) until the 11th of January. The exhibition consists of works produced from 2008 to date, which fall into three conceptual sections: “Religion-Metaphysics”, “Nature”, and “Science-Chemistry”.
The protagonist of her work, the pill or the medicine wrapping, the blister and the packaging of the pills. With references to the evolution of the human view on the healing of soul and body, the exhibition comprises among others paintings, installations by metallic walls, stained glass windows of renowned European Cathedrals, wallpapers, laces, mosaics, video and sculptures.
